Dr Sue Gessler, a consultant clinical psychologist and psychotherapist with over 30 years' experience, works with a full range of psychological difficulties, including those following physical illness, surgery and cancer. She also serves as an expert witness and provides training to senior clinical practitioners, senior nurses and other health care workers.
Dr Gessler works in a variety of ways. Anxiety at work will require a different approach to managing complex results of surgery, or decision-making about prophylactic surgery.
Dr Gessler has been an expert witness in a wide range of cases, including those involving gynaecological cancer and gynaecological surgery.
Dr Gessler has trained hundreds of senior clinicians in communications skills. She has worked around the world and was Clinical Lead for Communications Skills for UCLH Cancer Academy.
Dr. Sue Gessler
is a consultant clinical psychologist and honorary senior research associate with UCL. She is highly experienced in a range of therapeutic approaches, and has published largely in the field of managing cancer and familial cancer.
